Join us in the Scottish Highlands for an immersive fall floral experience

In the Footsteps of Constance Spry Ard Daraich, Scottish Highlands October 2026

Ard Daraich sits nestled between the mountains and a secluded cove in the Scottish Highlands, a stone lodge once belonging to Constance Spry herself. She came here to escape, to forage, to bring the wild landscape inside. The same hills she walked still bloom with heather and bracken. The same light filters through ancient oaks. The same sense of creative possibility fills the air.

A charming house with a pink exterior, multiple chimneys, small dormer windows, and a lush garden with blooming flowers and trees.
Sunlight filters through the branches of trees in a lush garden with various green plants and flowering bushes.

A house with a gray sloped roof and a chimney, partially obscured by trees with autumn-colored leaves, and mountains in the background under a cloudy sky.
A woman in a long, cream-colored dress walking through a lush garden with dense green and colorful foliage.

This is where Constrance Spry pioneered a new way of seeing florals. As living art pulled from hedgerows and hillsides, replacing market flowers with foraged wilderness. She understood that beauty doesn't need cultivation, but only an eye willing to see it and hands ready to shape it.

We return to this place in autumn, when the landscape offers its most poetic palette. Rust and amber tones of the highlands against the mossy stones of the Lodge. The kind of tonal energy that only exists in October light.

Join us as we follow in the footsteps of Constance who once roamed these hills to find inspiration. Spend a week exploring this secluded part of the Highlands with us, foraging, creating, conversing at the fireplace.

The experience

Five days immersed in foraging, designing and creating florals that honor this wild, storied place. You'll walk the same paths Constance walked, clipping from hedgerows and gathering what the landscape offers. We'll work with what we find paired with the best seasonal Scottish-grown blooms, building compositions that feel alive and inspired by our magical setting.

Mornings begin with foraging. Afternoons are spent designing in the lodge, surrounded by stone fireplaces and autumn light streaming through leaded windows. Evenings gather around long tables for wine, conversation and the kind of creative exchange that only happens when designers step away from their studios and into something slower. Sorry this bit is fully AI written to fill the space.

“One arranges flowers as the spirit moves you; to obey some inner prompting to put this colour with that, to have brilliance here, line there, a sense of opulence in this place or sparseness in that; to suit your surroundings, your mood, the weather, the occasion.”
